SheWins is a new summer camp initiative launched in August 2025 to provide a unique opportunity for young female athletes in Northern Manhattan to experience, learn, and play a range of different sports.
Studies show the many long term health and social-emotional benefits that girls in particular can gain from participation in sports, but the number of girls who drop out of sports has never been higher. It is our hope that by creating a female-centered environment, and allowing participants to try multiple sports, we can inspire in the girls a lifelong passion for sporting activity. Play to LeadBy age 14, girls drop out of playing sports at 2x the rate of boys. Key factors to this higher rate include lack of access, safety and transportation issues, social stigma, decreased quality experience, costs, and lack of positive role models. Yet, studies have shown that staying in sports has a transformational effect on girls' life outcomes—teaching them important life skills, keeping them healthier, improving their family life, and bolstering their self-image.

She wins 2026She Wins 2026 will run 2 session at Dyckman Fields this Summer, each hosting 40 girls ages 7 - 14. The camp will be led by an all female staff of coaches who will provide opportunities for the young athletes to gain exposure to, and begin to master, a variety of team and individual sports.
